Home Economics: Hands-On Learning & Life Skills 🧁🍓
Our Discover Life After School Home Economics Program gives students the opportunity to learn practical life skills while having fun in the kitchen! Each month, students will participate in a new hands-on cooking or baking experience led by a professional baker and local business owner who is generously volunteering her time and talents.
Students will learn more than how to make something delicious. They’ll practice measuring, reading recipes, following directions, kitchen safety and hygiene, teamwork, creativity, confidence, and responsibility.
From homemade ice cream and decorated cupcakes to tortillas, butter-making, holiday treats, and gingerbread houses, every month brings a new experience!
